Addendum: Please note Carfax indicates an damage report 10/20/1994.

In period, it was written that “Few things in life match the thrill of a squall line of thundering Camaro IROC racers – locked in a 12-car draft diving down the high banks….tachs pulsating near redline, strong leg muscles pushing throttles to floorboards, all attempting to defy the laws of physics by trying to occupy the same place at the same time.”

It was enough to overwhelm anyone who likes cars, and it was the formation of an idea within Chevrolet engineering to build a street-legal version of the Camaro built in the spirit of the cars provided to run in the International Race of Champions. It was to be an automobile of truly heroic capabilities. Among the features were extended ground effects rocker panels, a special performance-based suspension system, 16-inch alloy wheels, spoilers front and rear and model-specific badging.

This particular example is presented in Yellow with black interior and is has T-tops. The IROC is restored and has an upgraded (from the original 305-cid unit) 350-cid, 350-hp V-8 Chevrolet crate engine that was executed by a trained Chevrolet tech. The paint is refreshed in its original color. The paint is reported as excellent and shows minimal aging. The original T-tops are also stated to be in excellent condition as is the original black seats and carpet.

The original shifter has been changed out to a short-throw Hurst with digital dash gauges. The car remains in exceptional running and driving condition. It is said by the current owner that “while not perfect, it is one of the best drivers in this model that I’ve come across.” The engine gives this vehicle Corvette-type performance with great comfort and driving dynamics not normally found in this model of car. Among the additional equipment is air conditioning, AM/FM radio, automatic transmission; power windows, steering and brakes.
