The fourth generation Camaro debuted for 1993, and like the original, retained the basic layout; two doors, 2+2 seating, available as a coupe or convertible, rear wheel drive, and the choice of a six- or eight-cylinder engine. Popular performance enhancements and option packages like the Z28 and SS made for exciting choices throughout the generation’s 10-year span. For the 1999 model year, 42,098 Camaros were produced for the U.S., and only 1,380 were SS coupes with an automatic transmission. Approximately 12-percent of those were sprayed in the Navy Blue finish, or about 140 cars. Offered here, this SS coupe is certainly a rare find. While the odometer reads over one hundred thousand miles, the engine has been upgraded to an LS6 with even more horsepower. The LS6 is a higher-output version of GM's LS1 engine and retains the same capacity. It typically is rated between 385 and 405 horsepower. Other features include an aftermarket CD changer, power windows, power door locks, power seats and air conditioning. The interior and exterior are in nice shape with minimal wear to be noted. This Camaro offers a great combination of a low production option, coupled with several desirable enhancements.
