Car culture changed in the early 1960’s when Americans started thinking less about chrome, fins, wood, and soft suspensions and took notice of horsepower, torque, and handling. Chevrolet’s entry into the ring can be seen here in this Malibu convertible. Outfitted with a 327 V-8 and an automatic transmission, it was a small but potent option. This red on red convertible has bucket seats and console, tissue dispenser, AM radio, power steering and brakes, redline radial tires, and dual exhaust. The high quality paint reflects well on the very straight body, as does the gleaming chrome and trim. It had a rotisserie restoration some time ago, but still presents especially well with minimal miles driven since.
