Continuing with the great success of the two prior years, the 1964 Wildcat was even more plush and sporty than ever before and the public responded with more than double the sales over 1963. The optional 425-cid V-8 “Wildcat 465” was rated at 340-hp and 365-ft/lb of torque. While the Wildcat could be ordered with standard or custom trim levels, the most desirable examples today have bucket seats and a console as seen here. This convertible also has an automatic transmission, power top and antennae, power steering, and an aftermarket CD system under the dash for musical entertainment. A restoration was performed on this Wildcat some time ago, but the car is still very presentable. It is easy to see why the Wildcat was such a very popular model from Buick.
