This Panoz Esperante is powered by a 5.8-liter V-8 engine that is mated to an automatic transmission. This is reported to be one of only two Esperante models built in 2003 with the automatic, the second car is said to have been shipped overseas. The Esperante is a hand-built American sports car that is constructed with many components in carbon fiber and aluminum for the advantages of its light weight.
Don Panoz had this one-of-one car built for his former business partner, Milan Puskar. The car is named “Milan” after the late Mylan Pharmaceuticals, Inc. co-owner. Mr. Panoz commissioned his son Dan, the founder of the Panoz Motorsport Group, to build this special machine for his colleague. This is reported by the owner to be the only Esperante with a male “name.” It is finished in silver with black leather interior and black convertible top. The car has less than 10,000 miles and is generously equipped to provide luxury conveniences within a pure performance package.
