In 1961 Chevrolet introduced the third generation Impala, and with it the Super Sport package which represented Chevrolet’s performance version of a vehicle. Nineteen sixty-four marked the final year of third generation production and with it came a restyled Impala featuring a sleek, more well-rounded design.

This beautiful 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS has been restored to its current presentation in gold with a silver beltline and a tan convertible top. The car rides on thin whitewall tires with factory SS wheel covers. The Impala is powered by the desirable 409-cid, 340-hp V-8 engine which is paired to a four-speed manual transmission. The engine bay is detailed very nicely, a true testament to the quality this car exemplifies. Power equipment on the car includes top, windows, steering and brakes. The interior is completed in tan featuring factory air conditioning and an AM radio with reception through dual antennas. Additional features include a factory tachometer and cruise control, plus beautiful damascene-like brightwork. In 1964 a total of 8,684 Chevrolet’s were produced with the 409-cid V-8 engine, the majority of which went into Impala Super Sports.
