Chevrolet introduced the second generation or C2 Corvette in 1963. The car’s new Sting Ray design was offered in either convertible or sport coupe body styles. Notable features on the C2 Corvette included aircraft-inspired gauge layout, independent rear suspension and four-wheel disc brakes. Production of the C2 Corvette ran through 1967, a year many enthusiasts claim was the best year for the Chevrolet Corvette.
This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible has benefitted from a frame-off restoration. The car is presented in Sunfire Yellow paintwork with a black vinyl soft-top. The vehicle rides on redline tires which are mounted on reproduction bolt-on aluminum wheels. The Corvette is powered by a 427-cid, 435-hp V-8 engine with a transistorized ignition system. The engine is paired to a four-speed manual transmission; and factory side exhaust was added to this Corvette. The interior is completed in black featuring an AM/FM radio. Included with the vehicle is a spare tire and jack. This Corvette is one of 14,436 convertibles built in 1967; with both coupes and convertibles considered, only 3,754 cars received this revered powerplant.
