Plymouth introduced the GTX in 1967. The car was referred as the “gentleman’s muscle car,” thanks in large part to its styling and impressive performance capabilities. After only one year, the GTX was redesigned for 1968. It was offered in either coupe or convertible form. In 1968 Plymouth produced a total of 18,940 GTXs, of those only 1,026 were convertibles.

This 1968 Plymouth GTX convertible has been restored to its current appearance in red with a new white convertible top with glass window. The car rides on new redline tires which are mounted on factory wheels. The GTX is powered by a 440-cid V-8 engine which is paired to a rebuilt 727 automatic transmission. Power equipment on the car includes a power convertible top and steering. The interior features new floors and is completed in black with bucket seats with new seat covers which are separated by a console with tachometer, AM radio and dual remote mirrors.
