1951 Ford passenger cars were offered in two trim levels, the economical Deluxe series, and the higher quality Custom Deluxe, which offered a full spectrum of body styles. Interior appointments included dual sunvisors, door-mounted armrests and assist straps for back seat passengers.
The high quality restoration on this Ford was completed in 2013. This Custom Deluxe is fitted with a driver’s side spotlight, heater, power convertible top, radio and sunvisors. The burgundy exterior is highlighted with polished beauty rings, polished center caps, whitewall tires; and chrome window trim and side moldings. Under the hood is a 239-cid V-8 flathead engine. Connected to the engine is a three-speed manual transmission.
The restoration shows wonderfully, from the burgundy paint to the new two-tone interior. These flathead Ford-powered cars are always a concrete choice for a weekend show or tour.
