Chevrolet introduced the C3 Corvette for the 1968 model year. The C3 featured a completely redesigned body and interior while retaining chassis and powertrain options of the outgoing C2 Corvette. The bodywork featured flowing lines with a “Coke-bottle” shape which accentuated the wheels and tires. The design, based on the Mako Shark II concept, would remain relatively unchanged through 1982 when C3 Corvette production came to an end.

This 1968 Chevrolet Corvette is described as an original, unrestored survivor candidate – retaining its original engine, transmission, rear end, exhaust system, manifolds, pipes and mufflers. The Corvette is said to have been a garage find that had been stored since 1984. It is presented in Nassau Blue with a white convertible top with PO2 wheel covers. The car is powered by a 427-cid, 390-hp V-8 engine which is paired to a four-speed manual transmission. In 1968 only 7,717 Corvettes were produced with this engine. The vehicle features a heavy-duty Posi-traction rear end with 3.08:1 gears. Power equipment on the car includes steering and four-wheel disc brakes. The interior is completed in Bright Blue and features air conditioning, AM/FM radio and seatbelts.

Included with the car are the original spare wheel and tire, owner’s manual, warranty book and Protect-O-Plate. Additionally, the original title is included in the sale. This original, survivor Corvette would make an excellent future driver or restoration candidate. It is also reported to have one prior owner.
