Bentley introduced the Azure in 1995 at the Geneva Motor Show. The car was offered as grand touring convertible with passenger seating for four. Beginning in 1999, Bentley began offering the Azure in Mulliner trim. This allowed customers to add bespoke options to their car and completely customize the Azure to their desired specification. The 2003 Azure marked the final year of first generation production. Sources state that Bentley only produced 141 examples of the 1999 Azure as is presented here.
This 1999 Bentley Azure Drophead Coupe is presented in Green and features a custom coach-built wood decklid and accents. The car is powered by a 6.75-liter V-8 twin turbocharged engine that is paired to an automatic transmission. The Azure’s power plant delivers impressive performance, with a 0-to-60-mph time of 5.6-seconds and a top speed of 171-mph; both impressive feats for a large luxury vehicle. Power equipment on the car includes power convertible top, windows, steering and brakes. The interior is completed with tan leather upholstery, air conditioning and a radio.
