Mercedes-Benz introduced the 280SL in 1967. It was offered as a roadster, coupe or combination roadster-coupe. The cars were distinguished by their concave hardtop, nicknamed the “Pagoda.” One source stated the 280SL had a maximum speed of 121-mph, a testament to its sports car pedigree. Adding to the comfort and handling of the car was its independent front and rear suspension. In 1968 Mercedes-Benz produced 6,930 examples of the 280SL. Mercedes-Benz produced the 280SL through 1971.

This 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280SL is presented in white with both a black soft-top and white “Pagoda” hardtop. It’s reported the car has had a repaint in the past. The 280SL is powered by a 180-hp six-cylinder engine which is paired to a four-speed manual transmission. The vehicle retains its original red interior. Included with the car are the tools and jack.
