This Impala SS is believed to be one of three that is known to exist that were built to factory track specifications. This car was built like no other Impala and was designed for high-speed Hot Lap Events staged by Chevrolet and Indy Car. When these cars were built they were never intended for street use, and since it’s a race car, it came with no warranty; now it is fully street legal.

This car was delivered to the North American Operations in Warren, Michigan where it was prepared by a GM engineering crew and then highly modified by Wheel to Wheel for high-speed events. Fitted to the car are custom forged billet wheels by Budnik, special struts, custom stainless steel catback exhaust by Cora, braking by R+D Delphi, full strobe lights, Simpson seat belts and 200-mph tires have been fitted. Power comes from a dyno tuned, 3.8-liter supercharged six-cylinder engine that is backed by a modified transmission. The engine, transmission, and power steering have auxiliary coolers.
