The all-knew Mustang premiered its second full production year with slight trim changes. The Cruise-O-Matic transmission was paired with the 225-hp V-8 engine; and a 289 “K” code engine was also offered with the same transmission. In 1966 the Mustang convertible would have high sales with 72,119 sold.

This Mustang was originally delivered with a six-cylinder engine; however, it is now sporting a more powerful 289-cid V-8 engine with an upgraded radiator for more efficient cooling. The sporty interior has been graced with two-tone upholstery, new air conditioning; and a woodgrain steering wheel and trim. The outside of the car has well-appointed chrome work, red paint, “Y-spoke” wheels and a trunk mounted luggage rack. This sports car also has power brakes, steering and a power convertible top.
