This professional built 1966 Mustang Fastback had the body completely stripped, and new fenders, a deck lid and special air induction hood were put on the car. The paint was finished in PPG Deltron Black over Corvette silver with an orange pinstripe around the beltline. All the chrome is polished to shine like-new. An electric sunroof from a Honda Prelude has been fabricated to fit the roof.
The interior is very customized with Lipstick Red Pony interior with a roll cage and steering wheel to match. The B&M race shifter is sitting atop a hand-built center console. A new emergency brake was installed behind the center console and operates off the driveshaft. Other custom features inside include a fabricated dash, Auto Meter Pro-Comp gauges, Vintage Air air conditioning and an Ididit steering column. All of the glass, weather stripping, interior lights and handles were new when the car was built.
Powering this Pro Street Mustang is a 429-cid Ford crate engine with a Ford 460 crankshaft and Dove high-performance cylinder heads. The engine is detailed with Ford Racing valve covers and full length HPC coated headers. With all the upgrades, the engine is said to pump-out 400-hp and 490-lb-ft of torque. All this power goes through a C-6 automatic transmission. The chassis has four-wheel disc brakes and adjustable coil-over shocks at all four-corners. The car is rolling on ET wheels that are wrapped with Mickey Thompson Sportsman tires in the rear and Dunlop tires in the front.
