This nicely presented Series 3800 pickup truck reflects General Motors' first major redesign post-World War II, the Advance Design series of vehicle was billed as a bigger, stronger and sleeker design. The Advanced Design styling and engineering changes occurred with these models and featured a one-piece windshield, all-new grille, parking lights, steering wheel and instrument panel.
Under the alligator-style hood is a 235.5-cid inline six-cylinder engine paired with a three-speed manual transmission. The truck has a side-mounted spare tire, painted wheel covers, cabin heater, AM radio; wood bed and rails. The paint is in dark blue and white with an interior that features a brown bench seat.
While many of these trucks were worked into the ground, this is a nice example of a truck that survived.
