Ford introduced the mid-size Fairlane for 1962. The upmarket Fairlane 500 two-Door Hardtop Sports Coupe was added mid-year in 1963 accounting for 28,268 sales. The interior featured front bucket seats and bucket-styled rear seats in addition to its own exclusive side trim and nameplates. It was a one-year only model available for 1963.
Several documents confirm this to be a 12,033-mile car from new. A rotisserie restoration was completed, however the original interior was used as it was in perfect condition. A Boss crate engine affording over 500-hp was installed along with a Ford AOD transmission. Other modifications include an aluminum radiator, Hooker headers, power front disc brakes, Edelbrock aluminum Halibrand-style wheels on Goodyear radials, column-mounted tach, and MSD ignition.
