Chevrolet let the buying public of 1931 know that their new car would take them on the next journey swiftly, surely and easily. On long cross-country travel or short trips about town, the new-for-1931 Chevrolet was put forth as a pleasant car to drive. No matter the road, distance or weather – the modern six-cylinder Chevrolet would take you to your destination and return in good time with little effort. When new, this model had a base price of $545.

This handsome example is finished in blue with black fenders and black body details with tasteful yellow pinstripes that match the color used on the steel wire wheels. It has been restored to original condition and is powered by a 194-cid six-cylinder engine (nicknamed the “stove bolt six”) that is teamed with a three-speed manual transmission. Among the equipment are dual sidemount spares, grille stoneguard, cowllights, trunk rack, rear window curtain, and an eagle radiator mascot. Both the windshield and the rear window are retractable which allows for a pleasant breeze to blow through the cabin while in motion; plus this allows easy conversation with the occupants of the rumbleseat. This 1931 Chevrolet is reported as being an excellent driving car and looks quite stylish parked or in motion.
