The Lincoln Zephyr was both one of the most handsome American cars and one of the most revolutionary. The word "teardrop" was most applicable to its overall form with repeated design cues found in the tail lights, fender skirts, running board perimeters and trim emblems. The interior features a mahogany-metal finish and a two-spoke steering wheel. The three-speed transmission is controlled by a steering column lever (Ford called it "Finger Tip Gearshift"). This gorgeous coupe has been fully restored and has won first place in several judged events. Significant recognition includes Junior and Senior status with the Lincoln-Zephyr Owners Club and a First in the Emeritus Class from the Lincoln Continental Owners Club. This car was also featured in Continental magazine, issue number 264. It has since been driven and shows only moderate patina. One of Ford's prettiest designs, this final generation Lincoln-Zephyr will be a highly-prized item in any collecting circle.
