This Model 866 Speedster is reported as the first production Auburn Speedster (serial number A-866-101) built in 1968 by Glenn Pray’s Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Company. It was sold to, and delivered to Ge. Lasher on April 26, 1968 in its original livery of pale yellow and red leather interior at the ACD factory; and is seen on pages 135 and 136 in the book, “Glenn Pray, The Man Who Brought the Legends to Life” by Josh Malks. The Glenn Pray-produced Speedsters are commonly regarded as the finest of the second generation Auburn Speedsters. They are also considered rare, as only around 90 to 100 cars were sold.

This car is reported to be in very good condition with low actual mileage reported to be showing. The Auburn has only been driven on weekends and garaged every winter. The car is powered by a strong Ford 428-cid V-8 engine with a four-speed synchronized manual transmission. The Auburn also exhibits functional supercharged-style exhaust pipes (two per side). Original Auburn chrome-plated parts are reported as the windshield frame, bumpers, mascot ornamentation, spotlights, fender shields, headlights, taillights and grille. The car is now presented in metallic blue with gray fenders, black soft-top and black interior, with pinstripes on the boattail and hood; plus it is fitted with new brakes, mufflers and battery.
