112 hp, 4.2-liter straight six engine, three-speed automatic transmission, multi-leaf longitudinal leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic brakes. Wheelbase: 93.3 in.

From 1988 until 1993, Jeep produced an option package known as the "Islander.” Several colors were offered, such as Bright Red, Sunset Yellow, Teal, and White. Features included body color wheel flares and side steps, sunset graphics on the lower body and hood, Islander logos, a 20 gallon fuel tank, grey high-back leather seats, optional five-spoke alloy wheels, floor carpeting, center console with cupholders, and full or half doors with map pockets.

This special edition Islander has resided in Houston since new and remains in quality condition. It is believed that the low 14,930 miles on this limited edition Jeep are correct, based upon the overall condition and lack of wear. Minimal defects are found on the exterior and it shows like new in many ways. The soft top is in fine condition, as is the grey vinyl upholstery and soft materials. Features include power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, and an accessory trailer hitch. Ready for fun in the sun, the Islander is a seldom-found version of the Wrangler and a terrific choice for the newly-driving high schooler.
