The Rolls-Royce Corniche’s enduring production run spanned some four decades, spawning five different series. The example offered here is one of just 451 Corniche IIIs built between 1990 and 1991, most notably featuring a revised convertible roof and updated dashboard.

Completed in left-hand-drive form in late June 1990, this car’s bodywork by Mulliner Park Ward was finished with an Ebony basecoat, accented by twin thin fine lines painted in Silver Metallic, accompanied by a Black Everflex folding roof. To complement the exterior colour scheme, the opulent interior was predominantly trimmed in Black hide. The rich leather matched the Black carpets, deep-pile Black lambswool rugs, and a non-standard Black headliner, while the inlays consisted of burr walnut veneer.

A car history report, provided by Bentley Motors Limited and available to view on file, records that the Corniche III was delivered to its first owner on 26 July 1990. Although its definitive history is not presently known, the car is believed to have returned to an official dealership for maintenance in early 1993 prior to being listed for sale via Bentley Munich.

As part of its residency in The Willy Michiels Collection, the Rolls-Royce paid a visit to Bentley Belgium in September 2009. Available to view on file, the accompanying invoice shows that the car was logged with 45,889 kilometres. This Corniche III having been sparingly driven since, it displayed 50,089 kilometres on the odometer at the time of cataloguing.
