Model SC2-M. 380 bhp, 413 cu. in. wedge OHV V-8 engine, three-speed Torqueflite automatic transmission, coil spring independent front suspension, live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 122 in.
The 300H represented Chrysler’s most dramatic departure from the opulent and excessive styling of the period. The flamboyant fins of its predecessor were almost completely gone and were now replaced by a smooth cascading rear deck lid. Nevertheless, the exterior and interior brightwork remained mostly intact in the design, and without a doubt, the 300H was still one of the more lavishly appointed cars when it came to the interior.
They were still luxurious, fast, and aimed to the wealthy motoring enthusiasts of the early-1960s. The wedge head V-8 offered ample performance and ride control was excellent. While Chrysler still promoted the car on account of its speed and power, it had opted to cut production back significantly. In fact, only a total of 558 cars were built and sold that year, with only 123 of them in convertible form.
This example is largely original but has been cosmetically maintained and shows only 13,204 miles on the odometer. The engine has been very nicely detailed at some point in the past, although it is presented as it would have been originally, and includes power steering, power brakes, and a windshield washer. The brown leather interior shows moderate wear commensurate with the mileage, with no distracting wear or damage. The underside is very clean and as-original, with minor overspray on the floor pans and chassis supports, as it would have been finished by the factory. The Oyster White exterior is complemented by a white vinyl top, and as one of only 44 known survivors, it is sure to be a sought-after Chrysler for any discerning collector.
