175 bhp, 5.0-liter OHV V-8 engine with electronic fuel injection, four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive, independent front suspension and rear suspension with a live rear axle and coil springs, and four-wheel disc brakes. Wheelbase: 100.5 in.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Mustang, Ford offered a limited-edition “GT 350” Mustang as homage to the original GT 350s. All of the 5,261 20th Anniversary GT 350s produced, in both coupe and convertible form, wore Oxford White over a Canyon Red cloth interior and had sport seats and special tape striping on the rocker panels. They were offered with either a fuel-injected or carbureted 5.0-liter V-8.
What is incredible about this particular fuel-injected example is the number showing on its odometer: 18 miles. When it was originally delivered to Jerry W Brinkley, of Roanoke, Virginia, in April 1984, it only had 6 miles on the odometer, according to the car’s original Virgina title. In 2006, the car then came into Mr. Pack’s collection from Roanoke, and according to the Bill of Sale, it still had the same amount of miles showing. Since then, the car has tripled its mileage in transit to ensure that it still runs and functions as new.
This car is presented in as-new condition and is accompanied by a full array of period publications that promote the 1984 Mustang and 20th anniversary of the model, the original floor mats, which are still in their original boxes, and a host of other documentation, which further separate this time-capsule example from its siblings.
