In 1977, Triumph released a limited production run of 1,000 special-edition T140 Bonnevilles to honor 25 years under Queen Elizabeth II’s reign over England. These Silver Jubilee motorcycles were produced solely for the U.K. market. But given how quickly they sold, Triumph decided to produce 1,000 for the American market, and another 400 for general export.
The Bonneville Silver Jubilee featured a silver tank and side covers, blue upholstered seat with red piping, chrome-plated engine covers, chromed and painted wheels, and special badging on the side covers. These are not only unique and beautiful, but also highly collectible and one of the most refined versions of the Triumph T140.
The Silver Jubilee offered here is a frame and engine numbers-matching example with the odometer displaying 7,526 miles. After some basic recommissioning, this Silver Jubilee would be an ideal companion on rides through the countryside.
