As a true marvel of 21st century automotive performance, perhaps the best way to understand the SF90 XX Spider is to take in its performance figures. A sprint to 62 mph from a standstill is accomplished in just 2.3 seconds, leading to 125 mph in just 6.7 seconds and finally a top speed of 200 mph. The SF90 XX Spider’s hybrid powertrain, consisting of a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine assisted by three electric motors (two at the front axle and one located between the engine and the gearbox at the rear), produces an incredible 1,013 bhp.
Built with the ethos of the incredible 599 XX, FXX, and FXX K, yet able to be driven on the open road unlike its XX predecessors, this is an unrelenting performance machine capable of outpacing almost any other car in existence. The rarest model within the SF90 family, only 599 examples will be produced by Ferrari, making it rarer than its closed sibling.
Offered from its second owner, this SF90 XX Spider boasts a remarkable specification with numerous carbon fiber options and details, further reflecting its lightweight nature. Delivered new via Ferrari of Beverly Hills just last year, the car was beautifully specified via Ferrari’s Tailor Made department. Finished in Nero DS 1250, the car’s menacing body is offset by glossy red carbon fiber and Bordeaux Alcantara throughout, making for a sporty yet sinister appearance.
Red carbon fiber can be seen throughout the exterior of the car, starting from the front splitter and trim underneath the headlights, continuing to the ducts in the nose including all the carbon fiber trim underneath the front compartment, and moving to the rear of the car with the engine vents, rear spoiler, and rear diffuser all trimmed in glossy red carbon to match. The SF90 XX Spider’s interior is trimmed in a mix of Nero and Bordeaux Alcantara to match the exterior livery.
Further to the incredible color combination, the car is extraordinarily well outfitted in terms of optional extras, and is fitted with the AFS system, airbrushed Scuderia shields, brake calipers painted black, activation of the MyFerrari Connect mobile app, black tailpipes, cabin-mounted fire extinguisher, the advanced front driving camera, and diamond-polished forged wheels amongst other options.
Not all SF90 XX Spiders have been completed or delivered, making the opportunity to acquire this example especially tantalizing as it can now be sold free of restrictions. With the 849 Testarossa having recently been announced to replace the SF90, there’s no doubt that the SF90 XX Spider will be the most desirable variant of the SF90 family of Ferraris, offering limited production exclusivity, track-focused performance, and in the case of this example, low mileage and a sensational specification.
