Undoubtably the most eagerly anticipated Mercedes in a generation, the AMG ONE is among the most complex road cars ever conceived and more than capable of competing with the very best supercars of today, including the Aston Martin Valkyrie, Ferrari F80, and McLaren W1. Looking to celebrate the dominance of their Formula 1 team and their streak of Constructors’ championships (eight in a row from 2014 to 2021), Merecedes decided to bring their Formula 1 powertrain from the track to the street.
This is a feat easier said than done. A truly painstaking period of development ensued, as a 2016-specification V-6 from the W07 F1 car was adapted for homologation. The powerplant, one which ordinarily needs constant attention from a crew of mechanics, now had to start on the button. Calibrating the engine to idle at speeds compliant with emissions regulations, negotiating a global pandemic, and a parts shortage meant that, while the resulting Mercedes-AMG ONE was unveiled in 2017, the final production car had to wait until 2022. Appropriately, this was the year that AMG celebrated its 55th anniversary.
Needless to say, the ONE is among the most complex road cars ever conceived. It is driven by no fewer than five motors - including the turbocharged 1.6-litre V-6 hybrid which originated in the W06 Formula 1 car raced to Drivers’ and Constructors’ titles in Formula 1 by Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg - plus F1-honed Motor Generator Unit-Heat and Motor Generator Unit-Kinetic - release a combined output of 1,063 PS. With all this power managed by a four-wheel drive system and Xtrac seven-speed gearbox, the car can reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 2.9 seconds, leading onwards to a top speed of 352 km/h.
In addition to its F1 derived powertrain, the ONE features active aerodynamics, such as an F1-style Drag Reduction System rear wing and four flaps that deploy over each front wheel well to extract turbulent air. With the car set to maximum attack “Strat 2” mode, named after the Grand Prix machine’s ultimate qualifying trim, driver Maro Engel circulated the Nürburgring Nordschleife in a staggering, record-setting time of 6min 29.090sec.
With only 275 examples due to be built, the vast majority of these were finished in varying shades of Silver, Grey, or Black to honor Mercedes’ racing livery in Formula 1. However, this Mercedes-AMG ONE stands apart from the rest as it is finished in Reingrün, a ‘Sonderlackierung’ (paint-to-sample) shade that perfectly captures the high-performance nature of the car, coming at a cost of €27,500 EUR when new. The paintwork is further complemented by magnesium wheels finished in matte black and brake calipers finished in gloss black, both special options. Inside, the car is trimmed with exclusive Nappa leather in Magma Grey contrasted with Digitalgrün contrast stitching to complement the paintwork.
Having only been driven 185 km since new, all of which has been factory testing according to the consignor, the car presents in virtually as-new condition and has been professionally fitted with paint protection film in an effort to carefully preserve its incredible paintwork. Importantly, the car received a “Service A” by Mercedes-AMG in February 2026 at a cost of €37,610.15, ensuring that it is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner. As a result of the car having undergone its Service A, Mercedes-AMG has extended this car’s warranty until February 2028.
With the collector car market increasingly focused on modern supercars presented in unique specifications, this Mercedes-AMG ONE presents a remarkable opportunity to acquire a wholly unique supercar developed with Formula 1 expertise to provide a truly unrivalled driving experience.
