Cette voiture peut nécessiter d'autres modifications pour répondre aux attentes de son nouveau propriétaire.
The French auto manufacturer Facel Vega introduced the HK500 as a development of its existing FV4 grand tourer coupé. The new model retained the prior car’s chic and handsome design lines, as well as the Chrysler-sourced 5.9-litre V-8 engine. It is believed that 71 examples of the HK500 were produced in 1958, its first year of production, adding rarity to the model’s list of desirable attributes.
This car was delivered new in New York by legendary importer of European cars, Max Hoffman. The HK500 was brought back to France in 2012 by its previous owner, who wished to have the car restored. The restoration did not occur under his ownership, and the Facel Vega was acquired by its current consignor in 2017 as a project. Between 2017 and 2020, more than €130,000 was spent on a full nut-and-bolt restoration by Facel specialist, Carrosserie Paulo Antunes. Full photographic documentation of the restoration accompanies the car, as well as a condition report by the marque expert, Stéphane Bonoron, and Fédération Française des Véhicules d'Époque certificate. With only 32 km on the odometer since restoration, this is a rare opportunity to acquire a freshly restored HK500 and become part of an elite group of owners that has included celebrities, diplomats, politicians, and royalty.
