My 1976 930 Minerva Blue Euro 930 Turbo is actually the second Turbo I ever bought. Ironically, Rod Emery turned me on to it. It was one of his customers who was getting rid of it.
This is a Swiss-delivery Euro 930, sunroof-delete. Now, the Euro and rest-of-world 3-liter 930 Turbos have a little bit more horsepower than the US cars. US-spec is 240 and the Euro/rest-of-world is 260. Same engine, same everything except a different cam profile, making slightly more power. Still the 3-liter, still the four speed. But with it being a Euro car, it's actually got the smaller Euro bumper overriders, which are probably half the size of the US-spec. And with it being a sunroof-delete car, there's a little bit more headroom and it just seems a little sleeker.
The other interesting thing visually about the car is being repainted in a slightly different shade to the original Minerva Blue. But the interior was optioned from the factory with a white interior, which does seem a little loud for a Swiss delivery car.
Now, the Minerva Blue 930 Turbo drives completely different—well, same but different to the US-spec 930 Turbo. Somehow it does feel a little bit quicker. Maybe it's that 20 horsepower extra. And it's certainly a little rowdier, because what I had done to this car was, I had a sort of semi-custom exhaust put on it called the Hooligan exhaust made by a company called RarlyL8 in Texas. So it's actually got a loud, raspy exhaust, with lots of turbo spool overrun hissing and whirling.
The real significant thing about the Minerva Blue Euro 1976 930 turbo is, it's the car we chose to debut my Outlaw Wheel collaboration on with the boys from Fifteen52. That wheel was sort of a reinterpretation of the original Fuchs, done outlaw-style. The first set wheels we ever made are on the 930 Turbo. We debuted that wheel actually at the Red Bull HQ in Santa Monica back in August 2014, just before Monterey Car Week.
And the color combo is Minerva Blue with this goldy bronze outlaw wheel with black centers. I always sort of jokingly refer to it as my version of a Porsche Subaru. One for the Subie boys as it's blue and gold.

Due in large part to the extra power on tap, early European-market 911 Turbos have remained highly desirable by Porsche devotees. The example on offer, chassis 9306700216, maintains a place in this coveted group. Fittingly, it does so with a stance and style all its own.
Acquired by Magnus Walker in 2013, the Porsche has been a fixture of his collection since; as expected, it features a number of personal touches culminating in an aggressive Outlaw-style 930 Turbo. The deep-dished Fuchs-inspired wheels built in collaboration with Fifteen52 are fitted in a staggered setup with 225-50-15 up front and 245-45-50 at the rear with meaty Hoosier R6 rubber. This package, combined with a lower ride height, fills the widened fenders exquisitely to create a silhouette reminiscent of the race-born Porsche 934. The bodywork has been finished in a close variation of the original factory Minerva Blue Metallic, which pairs beautifully with the gold-bronze wheels—which are, in fact, the very first wheels of their kind produced. Per information supplied by Porsche expert Jürgen Barth, it retains its numbers-matching 3.0-liter engine.
Equally visually appealing is the interior, thanks to the fitment of blue seats covered in leather and corduroy sourced from Walker’s 1978 911 “78SCHR.” Having been delivered from the factory with a fully white leather interior, the contrasting furniture looks right at home, adding a truly unique and tactile element to the cabin space and is so clearly born from a mind with an eye for fashion and textiles. Lastly, a Momo Mod.7 steering wheel provides a purposeful contact point for the pilot of this turbocharged Porsche.
Like so many of the vehicles within Magnus Walker’s personal collection, this European Specification 1976 911 Turbo occupies space at the confluence of style and performance. As an early Euro-spec 930, chassis 9306700216 is already a highly collectable Porsche…but thanks to its undeniable character, it has been transformed into something so much more.
