Born of a partnership between Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing Advanced Technologies, the Valkyrie is as close to an F1 car for the road as legally possible. With every element designed, engineered, and manufactured from scratch, its journey from initial concept in 2014 to a prototype’s dynamic debut in July 2019 at Silverstone, prior to the British Grand Prix, was arduous indeed. The first customer car completed production in November 2021, shortly after the open-top Valkyrie Spider was announced that August.

A relentless focus on weight-saving and aerodynamic efficiency impacted every single aspect of the car. The ultralight, carbon fiber structure was fashioned without a single piece of steel. Even Aston Martin’s enameled logo was replaced with an aluminum alternative sealed under lacquer—99.4% lighter and without interrupting airflow. At the rear sits what Aston Martin says is the world’s smallest brake light. The result of such an obsessive approach is a mass just shy of 2,800 pounds without fluids, and a power-to-weight ratio not far removed from the 1:1 target of the car’s original brief.

A naturally aspirated 6.5-liter Cosworth V-12 engine delivers an astonishing 1,000 brake horsepower and revs to an outrageous 11,100 rpm. Total output channeled to the rear wheels through the single-clutch, sequential gearbox reaches up to 1,140 brake horsepower thanks to assistance from an electric motor. The hybrid system, partially developed by Rimac, delivers instant torque on demand, similar to F1 KERS technology. With a peak figure of 664 pound-feet of torque available at 6,000 rpm, acceleration is devastating: zero to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and a top speed exceeding 215 mph. A Valkyrie shattered the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit production car lap record in November 2024, with a time of 1 minute, 56.42 seconds—more than 10 seconds faster than any other road-legal production car.

Key to the Valkyrie’s outrageous driving dynamics is the cleverly engineered carbon fiber bodywork that employs active aerodynamic elements in conjunction with open Venturi tunnels underneath the car to generate up to 2,425 pounds of downforce, far exceeding the capabilities of an F1 car, while preserving the visual elegance expected of an Aston Martin.

Each of the 150 Valkyrie coupes was meticulously hand-built at an astronomical cost in a process spanning 2,000 hours. All were snapped up well before production concluded, as were the 85 Valkyrie Spiders, which feature a removable carbon fiber roof panel and dihedral doors hinged at the A-pillar in place of the coupe’s gullwing doors.

The Valkyrie Spider offered here was the 49th example produced and was invoiced to its original owner in the United States on 20 September 2024. Delivered in June of 2025, it came from the factory specified with £255,000 in options, including the £25,000 Alumite Silver exterior with £59,500 Speed Red graphics applied by Aston Martin Q. Other extra-cost exterior features include red brake calipers and “clam vanes,” satin black magnesium wheels, Aston Martin wings badge in black stainless steel, full Inconel exhaust with black tailpipes, paint protection film, and gloss carbon fiber roof, engine cover, and lower body elements. Optional interior features include exposed twill and peel-ply carbon fiber, Onyx Black leather seat pads with Spicy Red stitching, large passenger back cushion, and black leather steering wheel.

Now offered from single ownership within an elite enthusiast collection, showing just 85 miles at cataloguing time, this Valkyrie Spider represents an exceedingly rare opportunity to own a hypercar with F1 levels of performance, offering a sublime assault on the senses, to be enjoyed on the road or racing circuit.
