The F355 was a rear-mid-engine sports car for a new generation of Ferrari. Tucked behind its passenger compartment, a 3.5-litre version of Ferrari’s V-8 engine featured a new five-valve cylinder head. Power output increased compared to its predecessor, the 348, to 375 horsepower, thanks in part to the Bosch Motronic engine management system. Crucially, this latest system ensured that the car would be as docile in urban driving as it would be voracious at covering ground quickly. A six-speed manual transmission was standard, while Ferrari’s F1 automated-manual was optional.

A year after the launch of the hard-top berlinetta, the F355 Spider was introduced, featuring a lined fabric convertible roof that was, for the first time, powered at the tap of a button. Approximately 3,717 examples of the F355 Spider were produced, 2,664 of which are said to have been fitted with a manual gearbox.

As per the Warranty Card on file, chassis number 109200 was sold new to its first owner in Heidelberg, southwestern Germany on 12 June 1997, with the order fulfilled by Ferrari dealer Autohaus Ulrich GmbH. Having rolled off the production line earlier in the summer, the car's Pininfarina-designed bodywork was coated in Nero and complemented by a stunning Bordeaux leather interior—a rare and highly desirable colour combination.

Autohaus Ulrich maintained this F355 from 1997 to 1999, at which point the car was sold to the second owner, an Austrian who had the vehicle maintained by the renowned Ferrari agent Wolfgang Denzel. Remaining in Austria since, this F355 had two further keepers before being acquired by the consigning owner in November 2025. The Ferrari was most recently serviced by official Ferrari dealer Passione Sportiva of Pfaffing, Austria on 12 January 2026.

As striking as when it was first delivered in 1997, the car still sports its factory-correct colour scheme of Nero over Bordeaux. The vehicle is accompanied by its Ferrari leather folio, owner’s manual, Warranty Card, service book, tool kit, and car cover. Please note, this F355 features an aftermarket titanium exhaust, but comes with the factory exhaust back box.

This German-delivered F355 Spider, with its sought-after colour scheme and desirable six-speed gated manual gearbox, awaits its next owner just in time for the return of warmer weather for open-top cruising throughout the summer months.
