When it came to 1957 styling, the Corvette stood alone in America, showing its sports car pedigree in every one f its lines. It featured high-set fenders and sculpted side panels and headlights that extend forward to augment the impression of motion.
This Corvette convertible (as it has roll-up windows) is finished in Aztec Copper with “white coves” and is richly complemented by its white interior. In model year 1957, 6,339 Corvettes were produced and from this total, 2,797 had the Code 440 two-tone paint scheme. This particular example is driven by a 283-cid, 220-hp V-8 engine that is matched to an automatic transmission. The Corvette has an AM/FM radio and also the desirable and optional removable hardtop. It has experienced a complete and professional body-on restoration. This process also saw fresh paint, new interior and a detailed engine compartment. The original jack and tools are also found onboard.
