In 1966, Oldsmobile introduced its front-wheel drive Toronado, this same car would be named Motor Trends “Car of the Year.” This car would make history as being the first domestic, front-wheel drive car since the Cords of the 1930s. The Toronado came fully loaded with options that included: Turbo-Hydramatic transmission, deluxe armrests, power steering and brakes.

Offered here is a handsome Toronado, finished in a black exterior with hideaway headlamps, chrome bumpers and trim. This front-wheel drive car is powered by a V-8 engine with a dual snorkel air cleaner. It comes equipped with air conditioning, power windows, brakes and steering. The upholstery is black with matching carpet, radio, seatbelts, drum-type speedometer and a clock. In period, Oldsmobile stated, “Toronado, the only thing it shares with other cars is the road!”
