This 1957 Oldsmobile is an exciting design that is driven by a 371-cid, 277-hp V-8 engine that is connected to a Jetaway Hydra-Matic automatic transmission. The car is described as having one repaint in Rose Mist. The upholstery has plastic covers on the seats and the interior is said to be original to the car. Among the cars features are fender skirts, Continental kit; power steering and brakes. The steel wheels are color-keyed and have factory hubcaps and wide whitewall tires that were an option in period. The factory brightwork is distinctive and contributes greatly to the cars style.

The dashboard is truly impressive in its presentation as well, and is fitted with impeccable instruments and controls, crowned by a handsome and correct steering wheel. The Super 88 is equipped for comfortable cruising, with amenities including an AM radio and a dash-mounted clock.

In the 1950s, the American automobile moved further away from basic transportation for the masses and limited-production luxury cars for the rich. The post-war middle class now demanded style, power and comfort in their cars as never before. Detroit answered the call with sleeker, faster, better-equipped offerings to meet this growing need. Oldsmobile, in particular, offered a higher level of content than competing marques, making many comfort, safety, and convenience items standard equipment.
