  • COPO number 9561 Camaro
  • 427-cid, 425-hp V-8 engine with a four-speed manual
  • Bucket seats and console
  • Meticulous presentation
  • Correct driveline and documented

A General Motors corporate edict in period forbade Chevrolet from installing engines larger than 400 cubic inches. Requests from dealers who were dealer-installing 427-cid engines in the Camaro caused Chevrolet to use an ordering process usually used on fleet and special orders (taxis, trucks, etc.) to offer 427 engines in the Camaro. Two different Central Office Production Orders (COPO) numbers were offered in the 1969 model year.

This is a COPO number 9561 Camaro with a 427-cid, 425-hp V-8 engine with a four-speed manual transmission. Options on this COPO Camaro include bucket seats, console, power disc brakes, rosewood steering wheel, matching rosewood dash and console trim, console gauges, power steering, tachometer along with front and rear spoilers.

This special Camaro received 997 out of a possible 1,000 points at an unspecified Camaro Winter Nationals and is arguably one of the nicest COPO Camaros that can be found. The car is finished in Fathom Green with complementary green interior, and is meticulously presented. It runs with its correct driveline and is documented with GM of Canada paperwork.
