Always a style leader, the 1955 Eldorado featured new thin “shark” fins on the rear of the car at a time when other makes favored thicker, more rounded fins. This distinctive styling and upscale prestige set the stage for the iconic Cadillacs of the 1950s to become one of the most desirable collectable cars of today.

The Eldorado on offer wears a luxurious white with a red vinyl interior for a sharp and complimentary combination. The white top stays hidden beneath a white hard “parade” boot when retracted. Paint condition and panel fit is very good as is the abundant chrome and gold anodized trim. The trunk compartment is carpeted and features a spare tire and jack. Standard equipment includes Sabre-Spoke wheels, power top, brakes, windows, steering and four-way power seat. This car also has the optional automatic headlight dimmer. Power is derived from a 331-cid, 270-hp V-8 engine with dual four-barrel carburetion that is coupled to an automatic transmission.

In period the Cadillac Eldorado was touted for its power; stating that "the new 270-horsepower Eldorado engine delivers breath-taking acceleration, or silent, effortless cruising with equal facility." In concluding the car was described as "styling and beauty, comfort and convenience without compromise."
