This model of Thunderbird was the first to have disc brakes and is richly finished in Rangoon Red with white interior, powered by a 390-cid, 300-hp V-8 engine mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. The car is reported to be loaded with accessories, including Continental spare tire kit, twin spotlights, power windows, deluxe wheel covers and fender shields, whitewall tires, right side exterior mirror and sports side trim. Among standard items for these cars are the center armrest and console, and cruise control. From the engine compartment out, this is a nicely presented Thunderbird and is reported to be a wonderful driving experience.
