350 hp, 396 cu. in. V-8 engine, four-speed manual transmission, independent front suspension, four-link rear suspension, unequal-length upper and lower control arms, coil springs and anti-roll bar, and power disc brakes. Wheelbase: 112 in.

The L34 396 big-block offered in the 1970 Chevelle generated 350 horsepower and could power the car from 0–60 mph in 8.1 seconds and a quarter mile in 15.5 seconds at 90.42 mph. The SS 396 came standard with F41 sports suspension, which included front and rear sway bars and stiffer springs. Buyers got power front disc brakes, F70 belted tires on five-spoke 14x7 SS wheels, chrome wheel openings, and dual exhaust chrome tips. All of these impressive features are found on this brilliant example, which also has an unexpected and somewhat rare combination of a bench seat and Hurst four-speed, as well as a tilt wheel and an in-dash 8-Track player. The interior is excellent, with newer carpets, a headliner, and restored gauges. The very straight body sports near flawless paint, while the underside shows only minor signs of an older restoration, and in the engine bay, hoses, clamps, and all other bits appear factory correct.
