With only 1,343 examples produced, the 1959 Edsel Corsair Convertible was the top-of-the-line offering. Presented in paint Code FF Presidential Red, this example is undoubtedly one of the finest of its kind. Title documentation indicates that the odometer reading of 30,400 miles is likely accurate, and it is believed that the 332 V-8 engine and Mile-O-Matic automatic transmission are original. The engine bay itself is quite clean, with some flaking paint on the firewall from age. Aftermarket air conditioning has been installed, and the power steering unit is a real plus. The paint was refinished years ago, but it still shows well, with a commendable panel fit and a light patina on the stainless trim. The white convertible top has also been replaced, as well as most rubber moldings. A spare and jack with instructions can be found in the like-new trunk area. This convertible is among the most elusive of all Edsels and is an outstanding example of the marque.
