The 1941 Ford was most directly influenced by the natural flair for beauty possessed by the company’s president, Edsel B. Ford. Under his direction, the Lincoln-Zephyr was created in addition to the new 1939 Mercury. Possibly the most desirable closed example is the three-passenger business coupe. This attractive coupe offers correct and largely original features inside and out; the interior is finished in mohair cloth with a factory radio, clock, heater, and vintage aftermarket signal switch. The corresponding fender-mounted signal lights are just as Ford would have installed them. Nicely applied paint and brightwork present exceedingly well for a seven-decade-old coupe with minimal distractions. Although the engine bay is lightly soiled, the overall appearance is correct. A new fuel tank has been installed, and the underside has been nicely detailed. Overall, this well-kept vintage Ford offers the possibility of enjoyable motoring or cosmetic upgrading.
