The Chandler automobile was built in Cleveland, Ohio from 1914 to 1929; it was formed by ex-Lozier executives with great expectations.
This 1927 Chandler Standard Six sedan appears to be in unmolested original condition. It features cowllights, a vacuum fuel pump, and an automatic oiler in the floorboard of the driver’s side. The oil pump, distributor, generator, and water pump run off of one shaft on the passenger’s side of the engine. Other features of this charming Chandler include a rare honeycomb radiator, wooden spoke wheels, rear-mounted spare tire, external windshield visor, vinyl covered top, pinstripes and 1927 California license plates. The car is powered by a flathead inline six-cylinder engine, and has four-wheel brakes. This honest-looking car shows a lovely patina and the interior exhibits a period style that exudes comfort with almost living room like rear seating comfort. This may just be one of the most original Chandlers extant.
