The new Ford for 1934 displayed a distinctive and newly designed radiator shell and grille that beautifully harmonized with the remainder of the cars clean lines. This steel example has been customized with many performance upgrades that begin with its 502-cid blown roller V-8 engine. The “roller” phrase translates to everything running with bearings instead of solid-lift components per the consignors notes. Amongst the performance elements on this fearsome powerplant is a steel competition (not race) crank, steel medium race cam from Crane with steel gears, rollerrocker valves, two 900-cfm Demon blower carbs, oversized red butterfly bugcatcher with direct linkage, 750 Weiand blower, pressurized gas injection tube, electronic ignition. The engine is stated to be “perfect, without flaws.”

Other performance based equipment includes an aftermarket radiator, four-link steel front end with 15-degree camber, Weld racing wheels, Zoomie exhaust with removable internal baffles, Mickey Thompson rear tires with Jetsons front and a substantial size difference, Ford nine-inch rear end with 4.11:1 gears, heavy-duty rear axle, four-wheel Wilwood disc brakes and a 700-R4 modified transmission with electronic switched overdrive and B & M shifter.

The interior is deep red, padded and pleated leather with bucket seats with armrest, power front windows, Alpine multi-disc CD player and radio. The Ford is reported to handle and drive very smoothly, especially at highway speeds. The Ford has only 14,200 miles since its build. The dash is steel with four VDO gauges and a comp tach on the steering column. The car has a very precise starting procedure, but when followed to the letter, will perform in a very big way.
