This car’s constructor began with a 1956 Ford Fairlane Victoria hardtop coupe, and cleared the body of unnecessary ornamentation. Nosed and decked, it retains the Fairlane side trim, while the grille is replaced by horizontal tube bars. Its stance is slightly lowered, and Weld Racing chrome wheels catch the eye, mounted with Dunlop blackwall radials.
The powertrain is Ford, with side-by-side dual four-barrel carburetors and Mickey Thompson aluminum valve covers. Equipment includes automatic transmission, air conditioning; power steering and brakes. The doors are electrically operated.
The interior really stands out, with beige leather seats and matching padded dashboard. Digital gauges are housed in the original dashboard binnacle, and a tilt steering column sports a Grant wood-rim wheel. The workmanship is excellent throughout, and the car is bound to please aficionados of 1950s customs.
