When Dodge introduced the Deluxe DR Series in 1934, bodies were completely restyled with a handsome new look that was both stylish and aerodynamic, featuring a new streamlined V-type radiator that set the stylistic tone for the rest of the car, along with the fashionably raked windshield. The cars also benefited from robust and advanced engineering. Even though the total DR-Series production consisted of nearly 78,300 units, just 5,323 examples of the dashing 2/4-Passenger Coupe were produced, with surviving examples being quite rare today.

Having only covered 28,536 miles from new, this Dodge is in remarkably well-preserved condition. The first owner purchased this car new in 1934 and enjoyed it for 50 years, until his death in 1974 when it was passed on to his son who traded it in at Tacoma Dodge shortly after. The owners of the dealership chose to add this Dodge to their personal collection because of its unusually nice condition. Under their care, new paint in the original color was applied and the front seat was re-upholstered. Car collector and broadcaster, Art Astor, then purchased the vehicle and used it sparingly until 2008 when it was sold to another collector owner. The carpet, wheels, hubcaps, step pad, driving lights and running boards are all reportedly factory original. According to the owner, the engine has never even been taken apart. This is an opportunity to purchase one of the most well-cared-for and lowest mileage Deluxe Rumbleseat Coupes around.
