The easy identifiers for the Deluxe version of the 1936 Ford Tudor were the presence of brightwork around the windshield, grille, headlights; plus having two taillights and twin horns set behind chromed screens on the fender catwalks. The Deluxe models built later in the year also had twin windshield wipers, clock and rearview mirror – according to reliable sources. The integrated trunk indicates the “Touring” aspect of the name touring sedan. This allowed additional cabin room for longer journeys with the luggage properly stowed behind the rear-mounted spare.

This Ford is reported to be (other than a repaint some 20 years ago) a totally original and beautifully presented vehicle. The car is reported to have been sparingly used, and while the title indicates exempt, it is believed by the owner that the approximately 63,000 miles on the odometer are correct. There has been “no rust – ever, and it’s in outstanding condition” plus the Ford is known to efficiently fire up the first time when turning over to start.

The Ford Tudor has a fantastic color combination that captures the original period of this model with a classic styling profile. The car runs with the venerable 221-cid, 85-hp V-8 engine that is paired with a three-speed manual transmission. A comfortable, almost sofa-like rear seat in gray, plus two separate front seats, spare tire cover, bumper guards, color-keyed steel wheels with factory caps and trim rings, whitewall tires and added turn signals (for safety) all make for a fine primarily original platform that is interesting and uncommonly seen in this state of presentation.
