Ford proclaimed that the new-for-1965 models were the most changed cars that they had done in a decade. It had a new, wider 62-inch front and rear tread width for more turning stability, easier and more precise steering input, a bigger trunk area and easier to load by lowering the sill by five inches, the transmission hump was 13-percent smaller, the instrument panel was moved five-inches forward for more knee room, while the redesigned front seat area allowed more rear seat room. Designed for total performance; their quality was what Ford offered in convincing their buyers that this was the best Ford model year yet.

This white with white custom Galaxie 500 has been done as a restomod from the beginning of its complete frame-off process that was executed on what is described as a low mileage, rust-free Georgia car before restoration.” The Galaxie is powered by a V-8 crate engine that is said to put out 500 horsepower and is matched to a manual transmission. Along with the custom interior, the car displays shaved door handles, fuel cell, custom Boyd Coddington wheels, Ride Tech air ride suspension, and radio. The Ford is reported to have been driven less than 200 miles since the completion of the restoration.
