The Dodge Dart Demon 340 was regarded in period as being hot little musclecar. Dodge proudly proclaimed in advertisements that “it runs away with everything but the price.” The price may have been small, but the performance was a lot more than being simply painted on. Performance ran much deeper than the distinctive paint jobs that the Dodge boys applied to the Demon 340. The Demon 340 came with a 340-cid, 275-hp four-barrel V-8, plus a Rallye Suspension Package that included heavy-duty torsion bars, front and rear heavy-duty shocks, heavy-duty rear springs and a front sway bar.

This 1971 Dodge Dart Demon 340 is reported as being in excellent condition inside and out, plus it is further stated to be a true Demon 340 car from the factory. This Demon 340 has benefitted from a repaint and looks stunning; the paint is the correct Code B-5 Brite Blue Metallic and shows very well. The striping on the car is correct and also is presented in a very nice manner.

The interior is correct to the car and also shows very well. There are no visible signs of excessive wear and only one small cracked piece of trim. The underside of the car is original and looks great with no visible signs of rust-through or previous repairs. This car is powered by a correct 340 cubic inch engine and automatic transmission.

Additional features include a black hood with dual air scoops, hood tie-down pins, rear spoiler, sport mirrors with driver’s side remote, unique Demon badging, black side stripes, AM radio, power steering and factory Rallye wheels.

The car has been inspected mechanically and is performing as it should. These cars are increasingly difficult to find in this condition. This is a great little original musclecar that has received select cosmetic treatment and comes with its fender tag.
