For the third year running, Oldsmobiles were restyled from bumper-to-bumper and described by company advertising writers as the “linear look.” Interiors were new, too, with the most notable bit of gadgetry being the “Safety Spectrum Speedometer.” Speed was indicated by a moving band of color – green from 0- to 35-mph, orange from 35- to 65-mph, and red for speeds over 65-mph. The Super 88 Convertible was the rarest of the 1959 Oldsmobiles with just 4,895 built. Standard equipment included the 394-cid, 315-hp Rocket V-8.

This Super 88 will make for a great cruise night vehicle as the white convertible top shows some wear, while the paint and chrome are noted to be in good condition. It is equipped with an AM radio and automatic transmission.
