The Lincoln Continental Mark II is powered by a 368-cid, 285-hp V-8; the car rides on a 126-inch wheelbase and has a Turbo-Drive automatic transmission. Standard features include signal-seeking radio, tachometer and heater. Additional convenience elements on the Mark II include power steering, brakes, seat, antenna, along with vent and side windows.Virtually hand-built, the Mark II's gray and white leather interior has Bridge of Weir Scottish hides and a black exterior with wide whitewall tires. Also standard is a driver’s-side remote rear view mirror. Perched atop Ford Motor Company’s hierarchy, the 1956 Continental Mark II hardtop coupe was marketed by a separate Continental Division.
