This 2004 stock car is reported as being from Waltrip Racing and has serial number MRM-WC-3. It is said to have been originally a 1990s Darrell Waltrip Tabasco Pontiac that was rebodied as a Monte Carlo for Michael Waltrip. The two brothers are Daytona 500 winners and well-known racing personalities from their regular television appearances in covering the NASCAR series.

This particular racecar runs with a T&L 355-cid 18-degree V-8 engine with Pontiac Racing 18-degree cylinder heads with wide ports (#10134363), high compression/small combustion chambers with matching manifold with 850-cfm Holley carburetor. The Tex’s Transmission four-speed manual and clutch are in good, operable condition and is described as a “heavy-duty NASCAR unit. The rear end has no miles on it and it is fitted with 4.56:1 gears with a NASCAR posi-traction unit in which the pump has been removed. Four-wheel disc brakes, a Griffith radiator and wire-braided plumbing are also shown.

Among the equipment and modifications are the 2011 installation of new Simpson seatbelts and relocating of the seat, steering column shortened four-inches, a 16 to 1 ratio steering box with zero time in 2012, Hoosier tires and new wheels in 2012 with zero time, new ring-and-pinion with 31-spline axles and zero time, the 850-cfm Holley carb has been “race modified,” new fuel cell and filter in 2012 with no time, new Pro-Shocks in 2012 with no time used, new springs in 2012 with no time, dual battery switch has been removed and rewired for external shutoff and the rear end cooler pump has been removed.

Additional items that accompany the Monte Carlo are an extra set of springs, a set of Bilstein shocks and a set of Goodyear tires.
